  • DEDWORTH STREETLIGHTS REPLACED

Nearly 90% of the streetlights in Clewer south have now been replaced with energy efficient LED lights. There are a few of the old style concrete columns still to come out and there some new lights that need to fixed, but I’m hoping that the bulk of the work will be completed by the end…

  • HILLTOP SCHOOL PARKING PROPOSALS

I have been discussing parking issues at Hilltop School with RBWM engineers; parking enforcers and the new Head Mrs Bima. As ever there are no easy answers, especially where a small number of parents refuse to obey parking restrictions. In the past two years I have introduced restrictions in Highfield Road, Kentons Lane, Bell View…

  • GIANT POPPIES RETURN TO DEDWORTH RD

I have arranged for large poppies to be displayed on Dedworth Rd once again this year.  Thanks to the Burnham Royal British Legion and RBWM staff for their help in making the display possible. Many of our current and former service personnel tell me that they really appreciate these poppies appearing in Dedworth.  If you…

  • ABBOT’S WALK REPAIRED

Another of my “target” roads has been repaired.  Abbots Walk was on my list of roads that needed repaired when I was elected in 2015.  The surface had broken up at the top of the street and was badly worn in many other areas.  It had been getting worse, but has now been repaired. One…

  • ALL SAINTS ROUNDABOUT FIXED- AT LAST!

I have been campaigning to have the small roundabout outside All Saints Church repaired. I am  pleased to say that the roundabout is now fixed!

  • PAVEMENTS GET ATTENTION

As well as improving our roads I am getting some attention on our pavements.  As well as the large and tricky projects on Dedworth Rd I am getting some attention for pavements in residential streets.  Some of our pavements are just not useable and need repaired- like those in Luff Close (see below).  It will…

  • ROAD IMPROVEMENTS CONTINUE IN DEDWORTH

I have been pressing for more action on road surfacing throughout Dedworth.  This year we will see work being carried out at Camm Avenue; Abbots Walk and Burnham Close.  Cranbourne Avenue will be resurfaced next year and hopefully Bell View and Bell View Closewill also be done in 2018. Still lots to do, but some…

  • WHITEHORSE ROAD SPEED SURVEY

Residents will have noticed that I have organised a speed survey in White Horse Rd.  The surveying kit is at the bottom of the road near Ash Lane and will capture the speed of all vehicles during the coming weeks.

  • DRAINS CLEARED

Drains across Dedworth are being unblocked.  In particular I have ensured that street drains have been cleared at Fairacres, Cranbourne Avenue, Ash Lane and Keepers Farm Close.  In some cases these were silted up and no longer provided drainage!  If you know about a public drain that needs to be unblocked please contact RBWM Customer…

  • MANOR FARM CLOSE RESURFACED

Good news for residents and business owners in Manor Farm Close.  The road has been resurfaced after Cllr Mike Airey and myself pointed out that the road was very worn in places.  The new road complements the new signage to Manor Farm shops and of course the planters that we had installed, which brighten up…
