Some residents have asked me for an update on these projects.

A few weeks back RBWM formally approved a budget of £250K to build a garden café in Dedworth.  At the same time the Council also agreed to budget £350K for community facilities including a soft play centre at the Clewer Memorial Park (Pirate Park).

No decisions have been made on the location of the garden café and no decisions have been made about the size and layout of the indoor play facility.  These points will be agreed after the municipal election in May.

Both projects still need public support if they are to progress further.

I have said before that we need more community facilities in Dedworth (with or without the garden centres).  Cllr Natasha Airey is sponsoring the Pirate Park facility and I will be sponsoring the Garden Café project so please do get in touch with us if you have a suggestion or ideas on these new community facilities.
