Last year the Royal Borough adopted its first ever inclusion charter for children and young people.  The charter sets out how all children or young people should be considered when accessing services in the local area

To support the charter, I have asked my colleagues on the council to agree to a review of all swing parks in the borough and install “inclusive” play equipment where possible.

£30,000 has been included in this year’s budget for inclusive play equipment and colleagues have agreed to this being repeated up to 2021 (£90K in total)

It will ensure that children with disabilities are able to play alongside other kids in RBWM play parks..

I’d like to hear from parents and carers who would welcome “inclusive” play equipment in their local play park.
