More than a year ago new LED lights were installed on Foster Avenue. This marked the start of the Royal Borough’s LED lighting replacement work in Clewer South. Since then all of the lights in my ward have been replaced with energy efficient LED streetlights.
Overall the new lights have been welcomed by residents although some have complained that the new lights were too bright. Thames Valley Police have said that they can’t say if they have made any difference to criminal activity in Dedworth.
What I can say is that complaints about the number of lights out or constantly on has reduced to a trickle.
I’m looking at the feasibility of lighting in Osgood Park and taking a look at some dark spots where new lights could be installed. If you know any area in Dedworth where lighting is an issue please get in touch.
